To teach her to balance a treat on her nose will take time and in stages. The first is to teach her to only take food when you give the word to take the food. She can't go for the food on her own, she has to have permission from you first. This is often the hardest part if your dog is food motivated. You start first on the floor, leaving the treat there and telling her to leave it whe she dives for it. And when she finally settles down and looks at you not the treat, you give her permission to eat it. That is basically how you start. Then try actually putting the treat on her nose, and telling her to leave it when she trys to eat it.
Other fun tricks that I have taught to my Pap is:
1) Bravo - the butt is sticking up in the air
2) Who would you rather be? A republican/democrat or dead - Pap plays dead rather than be a republican/democrat
3) During halloween I taught my dog to hold the bucket and actually beg for candy when I ring the doorbell. Of course I dress him up as a butterfly.
4) Currently I am going through what is considered as dancing with your dog.
