They have a temperament of a big dog. They are not yappy like a typical small dog. They are highly intelligent making them naturally well mannered. They are by far the best dog for kids. A kid can do just about anything to them and they will never get upset. Cavaliers are like a Golden Retriever making them the perfect family dog. Only difference is the Cavalier is more of a couch potato compared to the Golden Retriever. The Cavalier is by far the best dog as they love everyone and everything. But if you can`t i`d say Boston terrier! there so awesome, they`re really good if you want a silly fun pet. alot a humor and really want to make you happy as well. I`d also say even just a parson jack russell terrier. there also really cute and fun, really cuddly and tough little guys. Best breed is a Border Collie (most inteligent and most active)
