Which Dog Breed Is Better?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
I’m a spohmore in college and I just got an apartment. I want to get an adult dog that’s already house and leash trained. I know a bunch of rescue places for the 3 dog breeds I’ve decided on, but I can’t pick which breed. I would have to leave it alone for 4-6 hours a day but it would have 2 or 3 walks each day. Which of these dog breeds are best for me?
Coton de Tulear
Papillon
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Please no links, I need personal experience, and I already took the AKC and eukanuba quiz and these were what I came up with.
Which Puppy Breed Should We Get?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
We have narrowed it down between:
A chihuahua, an italian greyhound, and a papillon.
We have done extensive research on all three breeds. We know that chihuahuas and papillons can be yappy and that italian greyhounds can be difficult to housebreak, but also know that both can be overcome with the proper socialization and training.
We live in an apartment, however it is on the first floor with a walkout patio. We do live in a location with cold winters.
We are not enthusiastic about paper training/litter box training and would prefer to do the outside method. However, we are open to it.

Papillon Or Chihuahua, Which Should I Get?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
I want a smart dog that can be trained various tricks and I would like one that enjoys walks and playing but is not constantly craving walking and playing. It is important they would get along with another dog an that they are ok with children even though there are no children in the house. Also, it would be left along whilst I work full time during weekdays-but-it would have another very small and friendly dog there, plenty of toys, water and access to the garden.
Which do you think?
