I Want A Small Dog?????????????????

Okay I have two Golden retrievers and i am 14 years old. I really really really really really really X100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000… and infinity and beyond…… want a papillon! they are so adorable but i cant convince my parents to get me one.. i told them and told them how much i want one but they keep saying how annoying their barks are, they are hard to potty train, and they are hyper and annoying… i have no idea what to say to that cuz ive never had a small dog.. i think what else is turning them off is our friends have a really annoying Pomeranian that i hate so much by the way because they dont train their animals at all and it barks and pees all over and has diarrhea problems and so . idk what to do they also use my grandmas dogs for example. she spent a lot of time training them and they still pee and poop in her house (he has two Chihuahuas) and they say ohhh well little dogs can’t hold it as long as big dogs and we are gone for long periods of times a lot.. well its true my parents go to work form like 7- 5 and im in school and i play sports all year round and we go on vacation during the summer but we usually find a pet sitter from our familly usually my granma who owns the little chichi’s . Can i get a papillon or not? if so how do i convince my parents to get one??? omg i would love one sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo… much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Sneaking My Small Dog On Amtrak?

I am looking to travel from rochester ny to albany ny for christmas since my car is really bad in snow and wind. I know amtrak does not allow dogs on the train, but i was wondering if you or anyone you know has sneaked a dog on the train? My dog is 6 lb papillon and whenever we travel, (frequently) she is super good. She sleeps the entire time, literaly. So any feedback would be awesome. Thanks!

A Question About House Training A Small Dog?

I have 2 papillons, the first one I got 4 months ago. She wasn’t hard to train, it took about a week and a half. The second one, I’ve had for a week, and she doesn’t seem to even be catching on. She refuses to go outside at all (lived in a kennel her whole 2 yrs.) and when we put her there she darts back in. She has done her business outside, but its difficult to know if she’s catching on to it, she doesn’t seem to be. She does her job inside also, anywhere and everywhere. Any suggestions? Are some small dogs just not trainable? I need as much advise as possible before I give up on her and let her go.

Can You Help Me Narrow Down What Small Breed Of Dog To Get?

I have 4 horses, 2 other dogs (a almost 2yr old Papillon, & a 8yr old Sheltie), & 4 cats (2 inside; 2 outside). All my pets get along with dogs.needs to be a g It ood traveler, and put up with being taken places including horse shows. I’d like it to be fairly small under 20 lbs but the smaller probably the better. No fenced in yard, but I do have about 6 acres. I have raised a litter of Shelties which are the easiest to train and also trained my Papillon with a short attention span! Also please dont say depends on the dog, I know that.
I was considering these breeds-
Affenpinscher
Cairn Terrier (but r they ok w/ cats? I heard not)
Coton de Tulear
Italian Greyhound
Miniture Pinscher
Norfolk Terrier
Norwich Terrier
Silky Terrier aka Australian Silky Terrier
Toy Fox Terrier
Rat Terrier (the smaller type)
Toy American Eskimo
& Podengo Portugueso Pequeno or Portuguesse Hound, but these are pretty rare
I would also luv to hear about other breeds too!

A Little Help Chosing My Toy / Small Dog? Papillon Or Toy Poddle?

well , i have been researching for a while now , but there is still a few things that i need more help deciding on..
well i heard that poodles need less training than papillons which is good bec sometimes my back hurts and i cant go for long walk. but they need a lot of grooming and in my country there isnt a lot of professional centers , and even the ones there are fairly violent and unprofessional. but i heard that i can groom my papillon on my own. but i heard that papillons need a lot of exercise which is not good for my back ( by exercise i mean walks not playing).
i heard papillons are hard to hose break while poodles arent
are papillons really cleaner than poodles ? and dont have an Oder??
can u please tell me if i got anything wrong ,, which might be more suitable for me
by the way i love playing and i will give it alot of attention , i dont like neglecting something ,, will it spoil it ?

Does Anyone Have A Papillon Or Similar Small Dog?

My papillon is potty trained for the most part but still likes to mark and be lazy and not go outside. Hes about 2 years old, and not fixed yet. Does anyone have any training suggestions on how to make him stop?
