If I Adopt A Older Papillon, What Will I Need For It/ Need To Do?

It says that she is potty trained, but I do not have a doggy door. Would it be hard to retrain her to stand at the door?
I heard you have to brush their teeth. Do you buy a regular tooth brush, and what do you brush them with?
Anything else I would need to do/ need to buy?
I already have another dog, so I have food/ water dishes, etc.http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/display…

I Have A 4yr Old Papillon Who Is Going Backwards On The Housebreaking!?

She was a very good breeder’s brood-a show dog, and she must have been kenneled with other dogs. We were doing well and now, not so much. She comes in from outside and pees in her crate….lies in her bed all stinky and all. If I make her crate smaller, like the kennel version, I worry about elevating her anxiety which she seems to have as well regarding the crate. Now that she’s peed in her big crate, I fear I’ve made it okay for her to do now. She has this love/hate thing going on with the crate. Is there ANY hope she can be trained? Now, when I take her out (which we are doing hourly) she looks at me as if to say, “yeah? So…. a… what do you want to do now?” I’m wondering if
this is really a kidney problem. She can go all night, not pee at all in the morning.. like 10 hours. I’m stumped. This stinks. Literally!~

Just Bought A Papillon??!?

So I went to a dog adoption center today looking to buy my new best friend! Right when I walked in I saw THE CUTEST dog ever, a papillion! It was love at first sight. Apparently it was born on the streets, and was found a few days after it was born without a mom or any brothers or sisters. It’s 13 weeks now, and i haven’t detected any problems concerning it’s knees or anything but it has a tendency to knaw/chew/nibble anything in sight! Is this the norm for dogs their age or is it a problem that I’ll need to address in the future? If it is normal how can I stop her from chewing on ME? Also, if you have any pointers for training her it’ll be much apprecieated. Thanks so much. =]

Question For Papillon Owners . . .?

I am considering a puppy in this breed for my family, I was hoping someone could answer some questions for me about them:
1. How much do they shed? Will I have a hair problem, trying to keep my house clean?
2. Is this a dog that I cant trust not to take off to explore, or can I walk it without a leash (After some training of course)?
3. Can they be trusted alone for an 8 hour stint while my husband and I are working?
4. How would you rate their tendency to bark?
5. Does the long hair tangle and need consistant grooming?
6. Does this dog like to swim?
7. Is the male or female better behaved?
8. How much does this dog generally go for (Cost)?
Sorry I had so many questions. As many answers as I can get would be great. Thank you all.

Advice On Choosing A Puppy, Papillon Or Pomeranian?

Hi there everyone,
My family and I have been looking for a new puppy recently. We’ve been to view two litters, one of pomeranians and one of papillons, and we like all the pups equally so can’t decide which breed we should go for. I’ve heard that Pomeranians can be yappy and nippy which is something we wouldn’t really want. Could anybody who has experience of either of these breeds give me some information regarding their temperaments, training, grooming, and health matters? Any info would be much appreciated. We don’t have any young children in the family, we have a medium sized house and a VERY large garden, we also live directly opposite a large park. There is always at least one person in the house.
Thanks :)
