Should I Borrow My Parents Older House Trained Dog To Help With My Puppies?

Ok here goes… I have three… count them 1…2…3 puppies currently residing at my home. There are two husky puppies that are 10 wks old and a papillon that is six months old. I’ve had dogs all my life, it’s just been a while since I had to deal with puppies. I’m working on house breaking them right now… all of them. My parents have an eight year old dachshund mix who has been (obviously) housebroken for years. Should I ask them if I can borrow Grettel (dachshund) for a couple days so they can see how it’s done?
I’m in training to be a dog trainer… so they’re well behaved, all three sit, stay, come, and lay down on command… they’re just having trouble with the going potty in the house.
I know I need to buy crates…
I know that is a lot of puppies… trust me… I used to run a rescue center with my family in California… this is nothing for me… I just need some advise.

Are House Accidents Common If A Dog Is Going Into Heat?

My almost six month-old pomeranian/papillon puppy, Ginger, had not had an accident in three weeks. I was really excited, and she had done really well with letting me know she was ready to go outside. However, over the past two days, she has had two accidents – literally squatted down and peed RIGHT in front of me as she is looking at me! I have her in training classes and the trainer said that a dog isn’t fully housebroken until they have gone six weeks without an accident.
At any rate, I am scheduled to spay her in two and a half weeks, but I’m paranoid she may go into heat before that. I’ve tried checking for vaginal swelling, but she has a lot of long hair down there, and I’m not sure if I’d know the difference since it’s always been covered up. She’s also curling her tail all the way up when she walks around, but she always kind of prances when she trots.
I’m so scared she is going to go into heat before her scheduled spay, and I do NOT want the un-neutered german shepherd a few doors down knocking her up!
Has anyone else’s dog had peeing accidents before it went into heat? I realize this might just be her being a puppy and not 100% trained yet.

A Question About House Training A Small Dog?

I have 2 papillons, the first one I got 4 months ago. She wasn’t hard to train, it took about a week and a half. The second one, I’ve had for a week, and she doesn’t seem to even be catching on. She refuses to go outside at all (lived in a kennel her whole 2 yrs.) and when we put her there she darts back in. She has done her business outside, but its difficult to know if she’s catching on to it, she doesn’t seem to be. She does her job inside also, anywhere and everywhere. Any suggestions? Are some small dogs just not trainable? I need as much advise as possible before I give up on her and let her go.

How To House Train You’re Puppy.?

We have a 9 month old girl Papillon. She is the sweetest thing, but she still isn’t potty trained. Its not like the whole house smells of puppy potty, but it can be a problem. Help! Thanks!

Potty Training In The House?

I tried to potty train my 5 month old papillon puppy, Sophie, outside but it has NOT worked. Mostly because I go to school 30 min away and I also do Taekwondo in that same town for the rest of the day and do not get home until like 8:00 pm, so this will not work. I now want to potty train her inside, any suggestions?
There are some rules!
-Must be inexpensive
-Easy to maintain
-Permanent (something that she can use for the rest of her life)

How Old Is To Old For House Training A Puppy?

i have a 7 month old papillon puppy and she is still not house broken yet, i have heard papillons are difficult to train, but she goes places in the house and does her buissness and sometimes we dont catch her doing it. im really trying to pay attention so i can train her to go outside though,
