Anyone Have Any Experience With Papillons?

Those cute little butterfly dogs? The ones that look like bat-dog.
My family wants to adopt a puppy but we dont know what breed. Me and my sister have recently been fighting over mini pinschers and mini poodles.
There are problems with both though. Miniture pinschers dont seem like good dogs for first-time owners and the poodle fur seems really hard to manage. Plus, my sister just doesnt like them.
We have recently turned our attention towards other breeds and Papillons seem like really nice dogs. However I dont want to buy one without asking for opinions from real people.
What do you think? Do they shed a lot? Are they easy to train? Housetrain? What was your experience?

Pet Botanics Rolled Meat, Anyone Know Anything About It?

Is this “doggie salami” as good an idea as it looks to be to my untrained eye? I have a 2 1/2mo papillon puppy that doesn’t like hard, crunchy stuff all that well and I don’t want to put her on a wetfood diet, so I was thinking maybe mix a little in to make her more interested in her own food than the cats’. Also, kinda hard to house train a dog when she has no interest in the buiscuts offered as rewards.
Anyone have experience/input with the stuff? All the reveiws I looked at on the petsmart site were great, but they were also for large dogs. What do you think?

Does Anyone Know Any Breeders Selling Newborn (1day – 2 Weeks Old) Papillon Puppies At A Cheap Price?

I live in San Jose, CA. And i’m planning to get a papillon as a companion. I don’t mind driving.. about 1 and a half hour max. to a local papillon breeder if the price of the papillon is low.
When i say low.. i mean about… $200-$400.
But, since i’ve been searching throughout most of the online puppy selling websites. I already have some experience on what the price range of papillons. There are some that are… 4+ weeks old that are $500 ( shipping included), which i actually don’t mind, other than the case that it’s 4+ weeks old. I’m planning to order a papillon puppy before hand. Meaning before it’s 7-9 weeks old and ready for shipment. Because i have school. and i’m planning to receive the puppy and train it during summer break. Which is around… Early July. So…
Normal Local price that i’m looking for (w/o shipping, just drop by purchase) is about $200-400.
Then for Purchasing the puppy online, i perfer to pay.. around $400-500 total.. which means shipping included.

Is Anyone Interested In Adopting An International Champion Bloodline Papillon Puppy?

My husband and I just recently found out that we are going to be relocated to Japan for his job and we can only take two of our papillons with us. We are currently trying to find a good home for our two month old female papillon named Bella.
She includes registration papers with a registered name, current shots, Veterinary Heath certificate, microchip, a copy of pedigree and puppy pictures. She has already had her dew claw removal surgery, two vet exams and is potty trained. She is both pellet/litter box and outdoor trained. She is currently starting on basic commands, her parents (which are the other two dogs that we own) were very very trainable so she probably will be as well. Currently she knows the words No, Out, “In the house,”Treats, Potty and her name when she’s called. She is well socialized, has a wonderful disposition, and loves to cuddle. Does Anyone Own A Papillon?

I own a papillon and he’s so hard to potty train, but easy to train as far as tricks. I dont know what to do I feel like i’ve tried everything!! I’ve tried catching him in the act clapping and then taking him outside, i’ve tried crating letting him out every hour, the penny can trick..everything..HELP!!

Has Anyone Gone To Dog Training At Petco/petsmart?

I am thinking of bringing my Papillon to dog training at one of these places. I was wondering if anyone has tried them and how well it went. Is it worth the money? Do they do a good job? What can I expect to get out of the training?
Should I invest in a personal trainer instead?
Any info will be a huge help!

Hi my papillon hates going to the bathroom when its cold and wet outside so my parents thought about potty training him (toilet) so we went out and bought a trainers seat (for toddlers) and we can put him on the toilet but he wont go! no matter how many times we tried! PLease help me!
