Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are truly beautiful and do seem to make loyal dogs. Every dog, just like every person, though is so different with a different personality. Instead of buying a dog, consider getting an older (not necessarily ancient) dog from a breed-specific rescue group. These organizations foster the dogs in a home setting and can tell you very easily what their behavior is going to be. Often they correct troublesome behaviors when they are in their care and can be a good source of information about the breed. Consider going to http://www.petfinder.com to find these groups in your area and take a quiz to determine what breeds might be appropriate for you. Do your research carefully. Puppies take a lot of time and money and can be very destructive. Make sure you have the time and money needed to dedicate to a dog. Good luck in your search!

King Charles because it isn’t yappy and not common. It’s easily trained and if it was good enough for kings it’s good enough for me…..but I have Shepherds which are even gooder LOL
They have a sweet disposition, not terrier type attitudes of Chihuahuas or papillons.
They are always happy and their tails never stop. They are a more attractive dog than the other two.

I choose cavalier king charles spaniel. It’s about medium sized right? But I really think it isn’t dog for beginners (but maybe you’re a master) because the grooming takes a lot of time if you don’t want to bring it to the salon. I choose Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Chihuahua is too small. In fact, Chihuahua is the smallest dog.

You can’t judge a breed because you owned one. Or your friend owned one. I don’t think Chihuahuas are a yappy breed. They don’t make friends w/everyone who comes in the door.,.like say, a Poodle. They are very loyal….no grooming….very sweet natured.
Papillons can be yappy….again, depends on the individual dog. They are very loving dogs…shed pretty much tho.
Know nothing about the KIng Chas spaniel.

king charles spaniel. they are loyal and active, but u do have to groom them often (but u said that wasn’t a problem) and they are very loyal. also, u don’t have to groom them if u deside to cut their hair short.(not real short, just half to an inch long). hope this helps! :P

I used to be a dog groomer. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are all very good dogs, and easy to groom. They are active and loyal. That is the breed I would suggest out of the three :)
