I’m sorry, I don’t know what could be wrong with your dog. I know someone who’s poodle was having the same problem and the problem seemed to come and go. As you said, it has nothing to do with bad treatment. Is your dog getting old? I’m sorry I can’t offer any info. I hope you can figure out what’s wrong. You could try supplementing with glucosamine and chondroitin for the joints. Shark cartilage is also good for joints, arthritis etc. Our dog had hip dysplasia and we put her on a top quality dog food with gluco and chondro and she improved a lot.

this happened to my dog to and it was hart breaking but we just gave her time and unconditional love, we tended to her needs and she slowly regained the use of her back legs and they weren’t stiff anymore

Have you tried hydotherapy?? Not sure if this would work in your case.. Contact your vet for more advice on this though…
I don’t have a Pap so not knowing what your going through..

I feel this is what your question is mostly about and feel sorry that I can’t help you. The only suggestion I would make is perhaps you could connect with your local kennel club and they could put you in touch with other papillon owners and breeders. Perhaps there may even be an online chat room for you to benifit from. You sound like a fabulous dog owner.
