I just got a 6-month old papillon. It was timid at first but now it is hyper and its ears go up and he growls at me. I am afraid he will bite me or something. He does this a lot when he is hungry, it seems, and also when he has to potty. Any training ideas/techniques to deal with this? I know he is little but still, starting to really scare me

stop feeding him or taking him out when he does that. bc if you do he learns that, that is what he does to get you to do what he wants. then feed him or take him out when he is displaying the right behavior
are you sure it’s not a play growl? Usually if they’re growling through aggression their ears will drop and go back. If it is agression there are plenty of good trainers out there who can guide you through training your pup to behave how you would like him to.
Papillons are not supposed to be aggressive. Usually they won’t bite though.
When he growls, tell him no in a deep firm voice. When he stops, give him a treat. They catch on pretty quickly that you don’t want them to growl.
Give him a hug. If he bites you give him a treat. He will catch on.
