Get the dog and keep it in your room only and carry it outdoors to potty.
Cats are worser indoors than dogs cause they cause so many allergies and shed.
If Dad says u can...then he is BOSS.
Mom will get used to it but dont let your mom be taking care of the dog.
It is best to get a pup to train, cause older dogs may not like cats.

In all honesty and from my own experience, just know that no means no, wait until you get your own place. Small dogs are really hard to train, need just as much exercise as a large dog and sometimes more and no matter how much you clean your dog or house, it seems to still have a smell. We had schnauzers way back when and they were the cutest most lovable dogs but they seemed to never get the potty training thing down. Small dogs also seem to be much more annoying than large since they bark so much, beg, and are much more rambuctous than cats. What do you think is easier to clean, sweeping cat litter or cleaning dog poop? And if your mom has let you get a dog then made you get rid of it before don't put yourself or another dog through that, they have feelings too.

I don't care if your parent bought you a car, or if you run your own business (which is commendable at 16) however the fact that you live at home and if either of the parental units don't want you to have an indoor dog..I think you should accept that and wait til you're old enough to have your own place and than you can reevaluate whether you want a dog. Not only would you constantly feel the resentment from your mom if she caved briefly to let you get a dog, the dog would feel it too. And you've already tried twice and both times neither you nor your father was able to convince her to let you keep them.
Secondly, at your age you're hopefully considering furthering your education when you're 18 or so...what happens to the dog than when you go off to school or decide to get a full time job and own place but the places you find affordable won't accept dogs..there is more to responsible pet ownership than just getting one, but is deciding whether you should or shouldn't.

Well you live in your parents house but you don't own it. If your Mom doesn't want a dog in the house, it's her decision. I love dogs but they do shed hair, leave muddy footprints, knock things over and they do make the house smell "doggy" so I kind of understand where she's coming from. Plenty of time for a dog when you buy a place of your own (or when Dad buys you one).

Well I have to agree when people are asking what you will do with it when you go to college......you can't leave it sitting at home to rot....especially with a mom who doesn't want dogs inside. I don't know where you live, but a Yorkie doesn't have a thick undercoat like most dogs, they CANNOT withstand cold temperatures from the outside all the time, so they are not outside dogs. BUT, if you are insisting, I have a yorkie and I can tell you from personal experience, they are not dirty. She has ZERO shedding and doesn't stink. I give her a bath about once every 4-5 days with a kids shampoo +conditioner that smells like fruit...the conditioner keeps her skin and hair from drying out. As far as the housetraining thing, they are hard to housetrain, but it can be done. Go to www.leerburg.com and scan through the menu on the left to read a full indepth article, but I will give you the general idea of it. You need to crate that is not much bigger than the pup and the pup stays in there when you aren't able to watch it like a hawk, and it is out, this is only after it has used the bathroom outside, it is on a leash and going with you everywhere around the house. A pup can hold its urges for 1 hour for every month old it is (until you get to 8 months or so of course, I wouldn't make my dogs hold it longer than 8 hours). You take the pup out about 15 mins after eating......always after waking up....and after playing. Pick the food up and water about 3-4 hours before you go to bed, just be aware the pup needs these as soon as they wake up and have gone to the bathroom. When you take the pup out to pee, ask it, do you need to go out? or something else it can catch on to so later it can tell you by its actions when you ask that if it needs to go. When outside, say "go pee" or "hurry up" to keep the pup's attention on peeing/pooping. I tell my dogs this when I take them out and they will go almost on command. And frankly, cat pee is much much wrose than dog pee to clean up, trust me, been there done that. YOu just get a good cleaner that has the bacteria in it that eats the bacteria from pee/poop. Walmart sells a good one. Go to that website if you are serious about this.....www.leerburg.com you can find EVERYTHING you need to know about having a very good well behaved happy dog on there. Good luck finding an adult that is housetrained, and if you do, still get that crate for the dog to stay in when you're not home. I dont' see why your mom wouldn't agree to this, unless she thinks you will leave the dog at home when you go to college.
and maybe you are spoiled.....but I'll bet you that if everyone else's parents on here could afford to buy them a car like that, they wouldn't throw it away! :) I know I wouldn't......at the school I go to, probably 75% of the kids drive VERY nice vehicles, and I do get jealous because I only have a jetta, but if I was handed one, I surely wouldn't say no!

Well, I haven't been the mother of a teenager yet (my kids are 9 and 5) but usually once Mom's have their minds set on something its REALLY hard to change it. Maybe you could ask her if there's anything you can do to help prove to her that you're ready to take care of a dog inside. Leave the option up to ~her~ if there's anything that can help change her mind, letting her feel like she's still in control of the situation. Show a lot of maturity....if your mom is anything like I am - whining and begging will only get you further from what you want. :)
Good luck!!
(by the way....ignore the jealous people that are calling you a spoiled brat. Good for your parents if they can afford to get you nice things. There's no need for name calling people, geez grow up)

Given the fact that daddy bought you a brand new Lexus for your 16th birthday, I'm guessing you don't know a whole lot about repsonsibility. Maybe your mom knows that and doesn't want to end up cleaning up after YOUR inside dog.
Not to mention the fact that you're 16. Plan on going ot college? What are you going to do with this dog if you go away to college? Leave it home where it will sit depressed because you left? When you move out, is Daddy going to buy you a house too? Or might you end up in an apartment that doesn't allow dogs?
I don't think you should get a dog right now.
Sorry to be so blunt and judgmental, but you dind't need to point out your new car.
EDIT>>If you've already had two dogs that your mom made you give back, why would you try to get another one? Come on honey! Just give it up and accept the answer for what it is, "NO". You live in your mother's house. It doesn't matter how many chores you do. Moms still hold the brunt of the responsibilities! And mom said "NO". Give her a little respect and stop begging.
Get over yourself and wait until you are old enough to move out on your own!
EDIT #2>> I'm sorry that you don't like the answers you're getting, but the fact that you can't accept anything less then what you want to hear just proves what everyone has said.
Go ahead, report me. Look sweetie, I'm 31 and I have owned dogs my entire life. I got a dog at 15 and when I moved out, he came with me. I just lost him this year. Have you thought about your future? Do you know that I have paid landlords extra every month just to get them to allow me my dog? Do you know how hard it is to find a house with a yard that's affordable and for rent? And even then to convince the owner that your dog isn't going to destroy the place? Are you going to be able to buy a house right when you move out? It's only 2 little years until you turn 18. Don't get a dog until you know where you're going to be after high school...really. Besides, you don't want to cause problems with mom the last couple years you're going to ever live with her do you?
