Does Anyone Know Any Breeders Selling Newborn (1day – 2 Weeks Old) Papillon Puppies At A Cheap Price?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
I live in San Jose, CA. And i’m planning to get a papillon as a companion. I don’t mind driving.. about 1 and a half hour max. to a local papillon breeder if the price of the papillon is low.
When i say low.. i mean about… $200-$400.
But, since i’ve been searching throughout most of the online puppy selling websites. I already have some experience on what the price range of papillons. There are some that are… 4+ weeks old that are $500 ( shipping included), which i actually don’t mind, other than the case that it’s 4+ weeks old. I’m planning to order a papillon puppy before hand. Meaning before it’s 7-9 weeks old and ready for shipment. Because i have school. and i’m planning to receive the puppy and train it during summer break. Which is around… Early July. So…
Normal Local price that i’m looking for (w/o shipping, just drop by purchase) is about $200-400.
Then for Purchasing the puppy online, i perfer to pay.. around $400-500 total.. which means shipping included.

If you can find that breed that cheap, it is not a quality pup. Also, it would be better for a small breed pup to stay with mom for longer than 7 weeks. so if you found one that’s older than 1 day to 2 weeks, it would be fine. It would still be very young when you got it. Why don’t you look around for one for the price you’d pay with shipping and drive to pick it up?
I sure as heck hope your saying you want to put a down payment on a pup that is 2 weeks old. If you are planning to get a pup that is that young you don’t need one because you have no sense. A pup needs to be with it’s mother and litter mates until 8 weeks 10 even better. Thats how they learn how to be dogs. And If you are trying to get one now so you can train it around your school schedule you don’t have time for a dog.
OK so you want to order a pup now that will be ready in 9 weeks or so? is that right? Contact breeders via a breed club- most won’t advertise pups before they are ready and many won’t advertise anyway as a good breeder will have a waiting list – look for a National breed club or use the AKC to get a list of breeders local to you or a local breed club. Good luck, summer is a great time to get a pup!
I hope you’re joking.
Dogs can’t be sold that young, they have to be with their mother, don’t you know that? They have a big chance of dying when taken that early.
Also – cheap price? no dog is a cheap price in the long run … Especially if you want a newborn, that’s going to cost you a fortune!
Please, just adopt a puppy from the shelter … $50-$150 …. Great companions, you’ll save a life…
I agree with the posters above me. In addition to their comments I’d like to add that training is an ongoing process that is going to take more than one ‘summer break.’ Your question shows such immaturity that it is clear you are not ready for the responsibility of owning and caring for a dog.
1 day to 2 weeks old? Are you nuts? Or just badly informed.
You should not owe a dog because you really don’t understand anything about owning one. You seem to think buying a dog is all about price point. And timing.
I hope you rethink this and wait till you are older and more mature. Having a dog is a life long commitment and an act of LOVE…not a moment of bargain shopping.
seriously, you are joking, right?
Nobody in the right mindset will sell a pup at that age:newborn to 2weeks?
If you cant buy the dog at 8weeks, look into a rescue!thta will be 200 bucks.
First off, Your not suppose to seperate the pup at such a young age.. and why should u ask for a specific price.. wen getting a pup doesnt matter how much pay for it.. if u need a specific price it sounds as tho you cant afford.. i suggest not to get a pupppy.
uhmmm u need to adopt!!!
damnit breeders are gay
plus u cant even buy a pup at that age
._.
just go rescue a mix breed
theyre cuter!
You are talking about this life like it is just a thing, some commodity to order off the internet like a toy or a CD. If you knew anything at all about puppies you would know that you should *NEVER* separate a pup from its mother before 7 weeks of age or you are risking all sorts of social maladjustments. I think you really need to re-evaluate your reasons for getting a puppy and educate yourself on how to properly and responsibly care for this living, breathing, feeling being BEFORE you bring one home. Not to mention if you go to some backyard breeder for a ‘cheap’ puppy you are getting from someone who knows nothing about how to breed healthy pups. Use only a reputable breeder or, better yet, adopt from a breed specific rescue. Puppies are a lot of work, responsibility, training and money for up to 15 years or so, so you really need to think this through and not just go on impulse. They are not toys or cutesy little accessories, no matter what Britney Spears or Paris Hilton do.
A reputable Breeder would never sell you a Puppy before 8 weeks old.
A Puppy that young has to be with its Mother.
The Puppy needs to be bottle fed at least every 4 hours ,day and night. You have to burp the pup,rub it with a warm damp cloth to make it pee and pooh.Keep it warm all the time.
Wait until the Puppy is about 8 weeks old before you get it ,by then it has learned important things from its mother which you could never teach it.
Make sure you get your Puppy from a good Breeder, you will then have a healthy happy Puppy.
A puppy cannot even be shipped until it is 8 weeks old. A breeder will only take a deposit on a puppy that young.
Actually puppies are better to recieve at 10-12 weeks. Those few extra weeks with mom and littermates makes a difference on socialization. I got my Crested at 12 weeks, and he is very close to me. He did not go thru that biting and destructive stage either. I think they are easier to housebreak at that age too. Plus they have a better immune system.
I’m going to assume that your grammar is atrocious and that you mean you want to find a pup that is young now so when you are ready to bring it home it’ll be 8 weeks old.
If I take it as you want a newborn I’d have to call you an idiot and unfit to own a flea, much less a dog.
You need to research reputable AKC breeders or Papillion rescue organizations and see if they have pups in your “range”. It sounds like you want a pet quality puppy and not an expensive show pup. You still want to get a healthy, guaranteed for 2 years against genetic disease, pup from a reputable breeder that only breeds to improve the breed as a whole. Good temperament, good health, good pedigree, papered and at least 8 weeks old.
http://www.akc.org and look through “breeder listings”. You can also try http://www.kijiji.com or http://www.petfinder.com
If you don’t care about papers and just want a cute little companion then you ought to check out your local shelters and SPCA and see what they have to offer. You may end up with a mixed breed, and not know the health/temperament or the parents, but you will get a puppy in your price range.
