Did you introduce any pets when you came to live with your parents? I'm assuming that you haven't and that these problems have been ongoing. To solve the flea problem, I would hire a local pest control operator to handle the inside and outside areas of the home (depending on how bad the problem is, you can do this yourself). Put all the pets on Frontline Plus, keep in mind, the frontline will not keep fleas off, but kill them once they begin to bite the animal. You have to deal with the problem at the source, keep the animals on a prevantative (frontline) and continue. Fleas have a life cycle, so it will take a little time...however, persistence will pay off! Check out greatvalleymall.com, they offer really great prices on frontline.

if the dogs have fleas and are inside that means the house has fleas...so you will need to treat the house with a flea spray or "bomb" as well as treating the animals in the house.
I use revolution on my dogs...it is not just for fleas, but since using this I have not had a flea on my dogs.
to get rid of fleas is a slow process so be patient

I would get some advantage at a vets office for the cat and dog and then get 3 flea bombs at a hardware store' as they are great and they are reasonable price.wash all bedding in some hot bleach water' and after the bombs sit wait 3 hours and vacuum the dead fleas up.advantage is great as it goes into their skin and it get the fleas eggs to.it makes the fleas have eggs with no babies inside.2 ys ago i had the same problem with my cats and dogs' and my vet told me this exact thing' and it worked.i give my pets advantage every other month in the summer; and winter maybe every 3 as you play it by ear.as for the dog he has dermatitus and it is really painful and can get infections from all the itching and scabs.buy some shampoo or lotion for this at a vets office and it will sooth the dog' and make it go away.he is allergic to those darn fleas. You will not have to bring the pets into the vet; just walk in and buy what you need.lots of luck and it will work but follow these directions.
